Job Purpose: The Data Architect is responsible for designing and maintaining the company’s data architecture, ensuring efficient, secure, and high‑quality data flows across systems.

Responsibilities/Results

The job holder:

• Designs and maintains enterprise‑level data models that support analytics, BI, and reporting.
• Defines data architecture standards, best practices, and canonical models.
• Oversees data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse environments and supports ETL/ELT, API integrations, and real‑time pipelines.
• Implements data governance frameworks including lineage, cataloging, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Translates business data needs into technical requirements and collaborates with cross‑functional teams.
• Supports BI teams with optimized data structures for dashboards, KPIs and self-service analytics.
• Evaluates and introduces modern data tools and leads platform modernization (cloud, real‑time analytics, metadata automation).
• Optimizes data platform performance, security, cost, and scalability.

• At least 5 years of previous experience in data architecture or data engineering
• BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• Advanced SQL and experience with major databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP)
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Databricks, SSIS, Airflow), APIs and data formats (JSON, XML, Parquet)
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI)
• Understanding of data governance tools (Purview, Collibra, Alation)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
