Join Bally's Intralot as a Junior Software Engineer (Java)!

Are you a Java Developer with at least one year of experience and looking to grow your skills in a modern microservices environment? At Bally's Intralot, you'll be part of a collaborative team where you'll contribute to real-world systems while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

What you'll be doing:

• Contributing to the development and maintenance of backend systems that support our applications and services
• Developing and enhancing web applications within a microservices architecture
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
• Collaborating with team members to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions
• Supporting troubleshooting and continuous improvement of existing systems
• Continuously learning and expanding your technical skillset

What we're looking for:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 1+ year of experience in Java development
• Good understanding of Java and object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with Spring Boot
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web application concepts
• Basic knowledge of databases such as MySQL
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and build tools such as Maven
• Team spirit, willingness to learn, and problem-solving mindset

Nice to have:

• Exposure to microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or Kafka
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit

Tech stack you'll work with:

We use Java 17 and are migrating to Java 21, along with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka, offering you the opportunity to work with modern technologies and grow as an engineer.
