We are currently hiring for our operations, a Simphony MICROS & POS Specialist.

The Role:

At Domes Resorts, the Simphony MICROS & POS Specialist is responsible for the effective support, configuration, and optimization of Oracle Simphony POS systems across all hospitality outlets, including restaurants, bars, and event venues. Working closely with the Oracle OPERA PMS team, the role ensures smooth system integration to deliver a seamless and elevated guest experience. Key focus areas include implementing brand standards (Marriott, Hilton), monitoring system performance, and providing timely, data-driven reports that support operational improvements and staff training effectiveness.

Some of the responsibilities:

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Oracle Simphony POS systems in hospitality environments.
  • Customize menus, pricing, promotions, and workflows to align with operational needs.
  • Provide technical support for Simphony MICROS hardware and software across multiple venues.
  • Collaborate with F&B, operations, and IT teams to ensure seamless POS performance.
  • Work closely with Oracle OPERA PMS teams to ensure proper integration and data flow between systems.
  • Manage system updates, patches, and integrations with third-party hospitality platforms (e.g., inventory, loyalty, payment gateways).
  • Train staff on POS usage and best practices; develop and maintain documentation.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in new venue openings, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.


Requirements

Useful to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Hospitality Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle Simphony and MICROS POS systems in a hospitality setting.
  • Experience working with Oracle OPERA PMS or similar property management systems.
  • Strong understanding of POS architecture, networking, and peripheral devices.
  • Experience with Simphony EMC (Enterprise Management Console).
  • Familiarity with hospitality operations and workflows (restaurants, bars, banquets).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings during rollouts.

  • The ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities is crucial as it needs to coordinate various programs and administrative duties efficiently.
  • The ability to manage technology-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and migrations, while coordinating with other departments and ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
  • A problem-solving approach with an eye to detail to quickly identify and resolve technical issues, minimizing downtime and disruption to operations.
  • Adaptability skills and being able to grasp new learning opportunities as the hospitality industry embraces new technologies.
