International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for a:

ICT Senior Systems Engineer

Role responsibilities:

• The ICT Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the airport’s core systems infrastructure, including servers, virtual machines, and enterprise services, essential to ensuring uninterrupted business operations and aligning ICT capabilities with the strategic goals of Heraklion Crete International Airport.
• Administers and maintains server infrastructure across two Data Centers.
• Manages virtual environments including VM creation, updates, upgrades, and performance optimization.
• Monitors system health and ensures 24/7 availability of critical applications and services.
• Provides Level 2/3 support for server-related incidents and service requests.
• Collaborates with ICT team members and external contractors to resolve infrastructure issues promptly.
• Operates as Systems Administrator for:

• • Microsoft 365 Suite: Exchange Online, Office 365 Groups, MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 Apps.
  • Core Infrastructure Services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print Services.
  • Entra ID: B2B collaboration, group management, third-party application registrations.
  • Security & Compliance: Azure MFA, Conditional Access, MDM, AIP, BitLocker.
  • Endpoint Management: Microsoft Intune – device configuration, compliance policies, and lifecycle management.
  • Virtualization Platforms: Hyper-V, VMware – VM provisioning, storage management, SCVMM/VSphere.
  • Storage Systems: Zoning, disk provisioning, SnapManager for Hyper-V/VMware/SQL/SharePoint.
• Works with cross-functional teams and project managers to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Participates in high-level design and implementation of infrastructure projects aligned with corporate standards.
• Contributes to annual disaster recovery exercises and ensures systems readiness.
• Supports internal and external ICT audits by maintaining documentation and compliance with organizational policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, ICT Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in computer science, Networks, or a related discipline is considered an asset.
• Industry-recognized certifications such as Microsoft (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) and VMware (e.g., VCP) are highly desirable.  
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in complex ICT environments, with a focus on systems infrastructure, virtualization, and enterprise services.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
