IT Retail Digital Innovation Specialist

The Position:
Reporting to the IT Digital Retail Manager, we are looking for a visionary Retail Digital Innovation Specialist to drive the transformation of our in-store customer experience through cutting-edge digital technologies. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing innovative solutions such as real-time inventory tracking, RFID, mobile POS, and phygital services that blend the physical and digital retail worlds
You will be responsible and accountable for:
- Lead the design and execution of in-store digital transformation initiatives
- Map customer journeys and identify opportunities for tech-enhanced experiences (e.g., self-checkout, mobile payment, RFID inventory)
- Collaborate with IT, operations, marketing, and store teams to implement digital solutions
- Run pilots for emerging retail technologies and evaluate business impact
- Stay ahead of global retail tech trends and assess fit for our environment
Qualifications & Competencies required:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; master’s preferred.
- 5+ years in retail digital transformation, CX design, or technology strategy.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- RFID-based inventory systems
- Cloud-based mobile POS
- Queue management or in-store clienteling apps
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of omnichannel retail KPIs and operational flows
- Co-ordinate external partners and vendors
- Good command of the English language
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
- Achievement drive, initiative taking and problem-solving skills
- Background in retail sectors like fashion, beauty, or lifestyle
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and customer-centric design
