A reputable shipping company based in Piraeus is seeking to employ a Junior IT Support Officer.

Necessary qualifications:

• Provide support to office personnel at company's premises or remotely and to users onboard vessels in a timely manner.
• Install, configure and maintain computer hardware software and peripherals.
• Assist users with their daily work.
• Knowledge of setting up new equipment for users as needed (workstations, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, etc.).
• Monitor vessels connectivity and collaborate with service providers to resolve any possible issue.
• Perform routine maintenance and monitoring on IT systems, including updates, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Good troubleshooting, teamwork and communications skills
• Very good command of English language.
• Up to 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Ability to serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance (office or remote).
• Strong will for further improvement and desire to gain experience

Knowledge and Certifications in the following fields will be an asset:

• Microsoft 365 services (especially Exchange Online and Entra AD)
• Familiarity with Windows Active Directory environment (users/groups/devices administration, group policies etc.)
• Hyper-V virtual infrastructure
• Network firewalls (Fortigate)
