What You Will Achieve
Your technical skills will help us develop and support a robust mobile application platform for our business. Due to your expertise, you will develop program logic for new services and modify existing ones. You will support a range of activities, such as coding, testing, debugging, documentation, implementation and maintenance of software applications for Pfizer.
As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the discipline and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate in achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division.

Pfizer's mobile platform supports hundreds of existing iOS and Android apps and is core to Pfizer Digital's ability to develop new apps and maintain those that exist at global scale. We work with teams building both natively developed apps and, increasingly, apps developed using hybrid technology (Ionic) or built as PWAs.
How You Will Achieve It
- Develop ideas and lead projects across platforms and manage plans to achieve objectives.
- Use knowledge of industry, customer requirements and general business environment to enable delivery of projects and programs, leveraging both standard commercial roadmap patterns as well as innovative technologies across a range of systems disciplines.
- Responsible for the creation of technical designs and implementation plans.
- Well versed in agile principles and able to lead software engineers in this area.
- Set technical objectives for and manage one or more scrum teams with ongoing work activities across all commercial business units within a product grouping and portfolio of projects.
- Responsible for release management of related platforms.
- Work with the infrastructure and shared service organizations to procure and manage stable application platforms.
- Manage budgets and resources to meet goals across multiple projects.
- Establish relationships with customers and members of the project delivery team and liaises between our customers and technical members of the project team.
- Work in a matrixed team environment with Pfizer colleagues as well as vendor partners by participating in vendor management activities.
- Embed Continuous Improvement and automation into daily work and develop a DevOps culture in the team.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years' experience with mobile application development.
- Proven experience working with business teams developing and delivering strategy and operating plans with demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, and relationship management
- Experience managing deliverables within a team of contract or colleague resources
- Ability to take a systematic approach to estimation of technical project
- Exhibits a high level of business knowledge and understanding of the external marketplace and anticipates business line or sub-function customer requirements
- Ability to lead in a complex, matrix environment with geographically distributed resources
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships, influence outcomes, and deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences
- Experience working with Apple and Google app store processes.
- Understanding of GitHub workflows, specifically using Github Actions.
Nice-to-Have
- Master's degree
- Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
- Proven progressive experience as an Information Technology professional, preferably in a pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of system integrations
- Experience in legal technology space
- Familiarity with Ionic for hybrid / PWA development.
- Experience with Typescript.
