The Research & Innovation Center of the Group, which is located in Athens, is one of the main centers for the creation and development of new products and services of the Group. Following the solutions that are developed and the Center's participation in R&D Projects, we are currently seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Back-End Software Engineer to join our team. As a member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading, designing, developing, and maintaining back-end systems for a specific web application.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance back-end systems using Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, SQL, and Redis caching.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement robust and secure RESTful APIs to support front-end applications.
• Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, and optimizations for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Utilize Redis caching for improving application performance and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for code quality and maintainability.

• Review of the architecture of existing systems

• Participate in agile meetings and scrum processes, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the team.
• Coordinate with team members on assigned tickets and tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project timelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (4 years) as a Back-End Software Engineer, with expertise in Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, SQL, Docker, and Redis caching.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Operate within established CI/CD pipelines implemented using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Issues.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous messaging.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
