Your role: As a Senior Cost Controller, your main tasks will include developing, controlling, planning, and forecasting the project's budget. Furthermore, you will ensure that projects are completed within the approved budget and minimize deflection.

How you will contribute to our success:

• Pro-actively initiate preparation/maintenance of project budgets in communication with the other Department Managers, challenge the assumptions made, and monitor actuals versus budget;
• Perform project controlling (Cost control, Cost allocation, Budget planning and control, deviation analyses, resource planning, implementation of reporting and planning processes, ad hoc analyses);
• Ensure timely delivery of project results for monthly and quarterly reports, including project forecasts for the financial reporting;
• Collect, monitor and analyze relevant financial and project data to identify improvements and trends;
• Develop, implement, and enhance relevant procedures and processes in close cooperation with the relevant teams to increase efficiency;
• Audit projects on a regular basis and communicate results and improvement suggestions (finance, compliance, contracts, etc.).

To be a fit you will need:

• University degree in Finance, Engineering or another relevant field;
• Professional experience in project controlling, ideally in the construction or telecommunications industry;
• Thorough technical understanding of construction projects;
• Advanced MS Excel & Smartsheet Skills;
• Office/ERP (ideally SoftOne) and BI-Solutions literacy;
• Hands-on mentality and analytical skills with affinity to financial topics and project risks;
• Proactive, accurate, and well-developed communication skills;
• Excellent command of the English language, oral and written;

Ideally, you also have:

Good command of the German language (current level Β1).
