Senior Credit Controller

The Role

As Timac Agro | LYDA’s Senior Credit Controller you will be reporting to the CFO and you will be in charge of the company’s credit control function working closely with the sales team to safeguard the company’s secure growth.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy cash flow for the company while building strong relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

A. Credit Control Management

• Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers
• Assessing credit limits and payment terms
• Mastering the applicable credit management policy and ensuring compliance by all parties
• Ensuring in-time collection of receivables through wire transfers, post-dated cheques or bills of exchanges
• Leading bi-weekly credit management committees with sales team and local management
• Working closely with the Group IT experts to drive automations
• Identifying trade financing solutions such as factoring to effectively transfer credit risk to third parties and enhance liquidity

B. Credit Insurance

• Leading the communication with the Credit Insurance partners
• Increasing the amount and percentage of insured receivables by maintaining the necessary documentation and ensuring that the applicable policies are respected

C. Collections

• Designing and implementing effective debt recovery strategies
• Negotiating repayment plans
• Co- ordinating external lawyers handling overdue amounts and bad debts

D. Reporting & Analysis

• Analyzing and reporting credit management data
• Communicating the main issues and action plans to the local management team and to the Group Credit Management team on a timely basis

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Previous experience in credit control, collections, or accounts receivable
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, such as SAP
• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively, build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
