As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, working closely with the Finance and People & Culture teams. You will support compliance with Greek legislation and contribute to the smooth administration of employee compensation in a dynamic, world-class hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Greek labour and tax legislation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records and documentation.
- Review and validate timesheets, payroll inputs, and adjustments for completeness and accuracy.
- Handle employee queries related to payroll, deductions, benefits, and allowances in a professional and confidential manner.
- Support the administration of payroll-related changes, including bonuses, incentives, and benefits.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and People & Culture teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure smooth payroll execution.
- Assist in payroll reconciliations, internal controls, and periodic audits.
- Contribute to the effective use and continuous improvement of payroll systems and related processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll processing, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Greek payroll legislation, taxation and social security regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ideally SCAN HRMS) and Microsoft Office; experience with timekeeping systems is an advantage.
- Exceptional accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- Fluency in both Greek and English is required.
