ERMA FIRST ESK Engineering Solutions S.A is seeking to hire a Technical Product Manager - ESDs to join our team.

📖 Role Summary

The Technical Product Manager – ESD will act as the technical owner of ERMA FIRST’s full range of Energy Saving Devices. This role sits at the center of a matrix structure and requires close collaboration with mechanical, Product Development, project management and commercial teams.

You will shape the product roadmap, validate performance, support sales team and ensure our ESDs deliver measurable efficiency gains—fully aligned with IMO/EEXI/CII, EU ETS, and emerging decarbonization requirements.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

So, what will you be doing?

• Lead the technical lifecycle and roadmap of all ESD products (FlexCap, FlexRing, ducts, propeller upgrades, etc.)
• Conduct market and competitor analyses to identify new product opportunities
• Develop and maintain product documentation, specifications, manuals, and revisions
• Collaborate with Mechanical/Design, Electrical, and Automation teams within the matrix structure
• Review CFD analyses, model tests, and technical performance studies
• Support development of prototypes and product improvements
• Oversee performance verification through sea trials, baseline vs post-installation measurements, and speed–power curve analyses
• Build and maintain a data-driven performance database for internal and customer use
• Provide technical expertise during sales cycles, feasibility studies, and client evaluations
• Review installation drawings and ensure correct integration on newbuilds and retrofits
• Attend technical meetings with owners, yards, and class societies
• Manage product compliance with IMO, class society rules, ISO standards, and environmental regulations
• Prepare technical files and coordinate submissions with class
• Monitor field performance, product reliability, and customer feedback
• Lead root-cause analysis in case of issues and drive continual improvement initiatives

🧑 🎓 Knowledge and experience required

What will you bring?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in product development, product management, hydrodynamics, propulsion, ship performance assessment, or energy-efficiency solutions
• Strong understanding of CFD, towing tank/model testing, or hydrodynamic assessments
• Familiarity with IMO efficiency regulations (EEXI, CII, SEEMP), IACS rules and EU ETS implications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix structure

• Experience collaborating with shipyards, class societies, or marine OEMs
• Knowledge of digital performance monitoring platforms
• Previous product management or technical owner experience
