Application Engineer (Athens- Maroussi)
Role Overview
As Application Engineer at Megaplast, you will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to deliver high-quality, sustainable packaging solutions to customers across the Greek and European region. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding customer relationships, providing technical advice, and ensuring optimal performance of packaging equipment in collaboration with the commercial team and external partners.
This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented professional who can balance technical insight with customer focus and contribute to company’s continued growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site customer audits to assess needs and demonstrate the value of company’s packaging solutions.
- Advise customers on optimizing pallet wrapping machines using company’s films to improve load stability, pallet quality with minimized material usage.
- Technically manage and develop a portfolio of existing and new customers, ensuring efficient operations and high levels of satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with other sales engineers to provide consistent, high-quality service.
- Collaborate closely with the R&D and Quality Department
- Maintain strong relationships with pallet wrapping machine suppliers to support the optimal integration of company’s products.
- Deliver operator training at customer sites to improve user knowledge and efficiency.
- Act as the technical liaison between customers and Megaplast to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Travel regularly within Greece and other European countries
The ideal candidate should have:
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of proven experience in technical support role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in verbal and written English, knowledge of additional languages will be an asset (German, Italian)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a hands-on, practical approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Greece and abroad.
