SOVEL, member of Sidenor Group, is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for its Plant in Almyros-Magnesia. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will contribute to the overall mechanical maintenance of our production process. You are dedicated to working with your colleagues as part of a high-performing team, demonstrating enthusiasm, high motivation and passion to develop fast and picking up new skills and talents as you go.
What you will need to do:
- Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Help develop and update maintenance logs, procedures, and work instructions.
- Work alongside the team to resolve mechanical issues involving hydraulic, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and pumps.
- Support in analyzing equipment failures and implementing improvement actions.
- Work closely with technicians and operators, while continuously building your technical skills through training and hands-on experience.
- Follow all safety procedures (including Lockout/Tagout), report hazards, and contribute to a strong safety culture.
What you need to possess:
- MSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering (recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply).
- 0-2 years of relevant experience. Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a significant plus.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong theoretical understanding of mechanical principles (e.g., thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science).
- Basic familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Exposure to a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
