Interior Designer 

Job Description 

We are looking for an artful Interior Designer to undertake a variety of yacht and high-end residential projects to join our design team.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for the space to be designed
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, painters, and builders to further understand how interior space should function, appear, and be furnished
• Create 'mood boards' to sample the design vision
• Conceptualize and sketch design plans to demonstrate preliminary designs to client
• Consult with client to select materials, furnishings
• Negotiate fees, determine timelines and project costs and present accurate estimates to clients
• Source materials and products included in plans, adhering to project and budget specifications
• Supervise work progress and oversee the installation of materials and other design elements
• Maintain current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Highly creative, imaginative and artistic.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors
• Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of building codes and inspection regulations related to interiors.
• Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field required
• Excellent AutoCAD,Photoshop,InDesign,3Dsmax and Corona(Knowledge of Revit is a plus)
• Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Sketchup, etc.)
• Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
