Ella Hotels and Resorts, a leading eco-chic hospitality collection, seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. In 2023, Ella Resorts is planning to operate a portfolio of 6 lifestyle & family resorts on the islands of Rhodes & Corfu, and this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team from the very beginning.

As an Accountant at Ella Resorts, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be diligent and organized, and eager to learn more about accounting within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the general ledger and performing monthly account reconciliations
• Prepare financial statements and assist in the month-end close process
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare and distribute daily cash flow reports
• Support the finance team by performing ad-hoc financial analysis
• Continuously monitor and improve internal control procedures
• Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and accounting standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• At least 2-3 years of accounting experience preferably in hospitality
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in MS Excel and other accounting softwares
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
