Our client a well-established Multinational Company in the sector of Hospitality is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Income Auditor  in Athens.

The ideal candidate will act as a key contributor to the organization and help accomplish its objectives by scoping, executing, and reporting on Operational/Financial audits, as well as be responsible the production and distribution of timely, accurate and relevant reporting, while adhering to Hotel Handbook and Finance Policies and Procedures.

What you will focus on

  • Prepare the Revenue report (PMS) reconciliation to each revenue source (F&B, Telephone, Laundry, Parking etc.), resolve any discrepancies on a daily basis
  • Record revenues per source/segment and prepare daily, monthly sales and other reports for management team
  • Work closely with Front Office (FO) and Food & Beverage (F&B) to ensure postings are accurate and any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
  • Sort and file all back up received in the night audit files from the night audit, as per the record retention policy
  • Perform spot checks on outlet open checks used, audit all voided checks, corrections and unsettled checks, and perform surprise counts of all Hotels cash floats, discrepancies investigated & documented
  • Paid-outs & refunds audit, authenticity check of all FO rebates and outlet rebates, verify for accuracy
  • Prepare the rebate credits, miscellaneous charges and paid outs summary for submission to Finance Leader, General Manager on a daily basis
  • Banqueting functions billing process’ audit in liaise with the Credit department
  • Perform month end closing, plus trial balance reconciliation against the general ledger & the Opera System
  • Prepare & reconcile daily collection of the General Cashiers Summary and all other duties related to the General Cashier function
  • Train Front Office Reception staff in relation to accounting or system related issues, procedures, etc.

What We are looking for

  • University Degree in Economics or any other relevant field
  • Strong finance background with 3+ years’ experience in Accounting & reporting
  • Literate with hotel systems P.M.S., P.O.S. (Opera, Micros, ACOM System) will be considered as a plus
  • Familiarity with hotel Income audit Finance policies
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Open-minded personality with ability to work with a broad network of people and functions in the organization
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills
