The Opportunity

 

We are currently seeking professionals to strengthen our IFRS Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team. Our IFRS FAAS team consists of a group of experts who’s day-to-day activities exist in supporting fast growing companies to take the next step (e.g. being an IPO or sale to a third-party investor). In this dynamic environment, we help companies to convert their figures from local GAAP to IFRS and to prepare their first set of IFRS financial statements. Next to this, our team offers technical IFRS accounting advice to mature IFRS appliers. Large, multinational companies count on our teams to analyze how major transactions would influence the IFRS financial statements and therefore the stock price of their shares.

 

We are looking for ambitious, proactive and self-starter professionals at experienced Senior rank to drive the growth of our team.

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Excellent academic background including a bachelor and/or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other appropriate academic major
  • Professional accountancy qualification or working towards gaining one (ACCA, ACA, CFA, CPA, SOEL)
  • 2-6 years of relevant working experience in an IFRS department at a large accounting firm or at an IFRS applier.
  • Very good IFRS knowledge, strong technical skills, ability to research IFRS technical issues and recognized risk management ability
  • Experience in performing IFRS technical analysis, making IFRS calculations, drawing-up the accounting entries for the IFRS adjustments and preparing IFRS financial statements.
  • Professional acumen in analyzing complex accounting issues and providing solutions in accordance with the relevant accounting standards and legislation
  • Strong analytical skills that enable you to think out of the box and come with good ideas to help our clients address their complex accounting questions.
  • Substantial knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English and the ability to explain specialized concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Results-oriented approach with keen attention to high quality and accuracy
  • Ability to work under tight timelines.
  • Flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements both locally and internationally (travelling is subject to Covid-19 limitations)
