Zeritis Group is seeking a Junior Finance & Accounting Officer to join our team. The position is based in Athens HO and reports directly to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be supporting the Group’s financial and accounting operations, co-operating with our external accounting and legal partners. Managing revenue and expense planning, analysing investments, including CAPEX and renovations, annual maintenance plans, etc
The candidate is presented with a unique opportunity to be exposed to the real estate business, a fast growing industry in Greece, investing in more than one country, as well as issues relating to corporate governance.
Key activities and responsibilities include:
- Monitoring tenancy agreements, preparing and issuing relevant invoices to tenants.
- Monitoring on-time and in-full payment of customers.
- End to end handling of vendors’ invoices, in cooperation with our accounting partners.
- Ensure on time payment of our vendors.
- Updating Group’s cashflow records; supporting the budgeting process of Group entities and participating in monthly and yearly management reports.
- Reviewing accounting entries and financial statements of Group entities performed and ensure timely and conformant completion of year-end financial statements prepared by external accountants.
- Participating and follow up the progress of strategic projects.
- Any other ad hoc tasks that might come up on the daily business.
Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance or related subjects; Master’s degree and first-class grades are considered a strong plus
- Proficiency in Office Microsoft
- Good knowledge of accounting programmes. Prior experience on Epsilon net acc. Package will be considered a plus
- Proficiency in English written and verbal
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or any related field
- Experience in managing invoicing & cashflows as well as exposure to general ledgers entries is considered a plus
- Military obligations fulfilled (if applicable)
