Software Engineer

 Key Areas of Responsibility

• Involvement in the SW design and development of new manufacturing systems for smart meter devices
• Efficiently and effectively design, develop and modify/refactor proprietary Landis&Gyr automation and application software
• Debug and support automation and application software
• Undertake new software issues reported during the production process and being able to troubleshoot in real time
• Have a daily contact with NPI project managers for projects in your area of responsibility
• Setup, debug and deliver new production lines (debug Landis&Gyr software and also software that manages production line’s third-party components such as cameras, power sensors etc.)
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and formulating concepts and ideas for new products, tools and services

 Required skills

• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical / Electronic engineering, or corresponding technology field
• At least 3-year proved working experience developing production level software with C
• Experience in shell scripting and Linux OS administration
• Experience in SQL and RDBMS (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle)
• Good knowledge and experience versioning tools, such as Git
• Ability to follow standard code practices and build reusable/extensible code and libraries
• Experience with industrial automation systems
• Basic electronic circuits understanding

 Optional skills

• Experience with Cryptography
• Experience with .NET WCF services
• Working experience in OOP languages C# and C++
• Experience in .NET Framework/Core, WPF, Entity Framework, Unity, LINQ, Blazor
• Basic embedded systems understanding. Experience with MCUs, preferably AVR
• Good knowledge of design patterns, such as Dependency Injection (DI), Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM)
• Software CI/CD automation platforms, such as Jenkins and Gitlab
