Health & Safety Manager - Volos Plant

Scope of the Role

The key mission of the Health & Safety Manager is to promote and implement Health & Safety Standards and Rules in order to achieve the continuous improvement of the workplace environment and a Safety Culture of 0 incident.  

He/she will join a team of highly competent H&S professionals in the Group, having the following key accountabilities for Volos Plant:

• Facilitate the design of annual H&S Improvement Plan (HSIP), monitor and follow up implementation.
• Ensure that H&S policies and legal obligations are up to date and effectively respected in the plant. Challenge and influence the organization on Group H&S Management System.
• Develop safety culture and communicate H&S procedures through design and implementation of training programs, mobilization activities and communication campaigns.
• Conduct structured and ad-hoc H&S inspections and audits.
• Account for H&S KPIs monitoring and reporting and take corrective actions in case of deviations from targets.
• Account for and coordinate proper investigation and analysis (RCA) of serious incidents and accidents, for communication of key lessons and the implementation of the corresponding action plans.
• Communicate deriving findings and cooperate with the person in charge to implement corrective actions and follow-ups.
• Support the implementation and health monitoring of the employees.
• Design and run annual Industrial Hygiene plan, analyzes results and promotes corrective actions.
• Consult plant personnel on necessary safety measures for the execution of high-risk jobs.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 4+ years of experience ideally in heavy industry (preferably in production or maintenance department)
• Basic knowledge of production and maintenance operations
• In depth knowledge of H&S legislation
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis techniques

• Fluency in written and spoken English language
• Excellent use of MS office, SAP
• Leadership skills (act as a role model), Coaching and Mentoring
• Communication skills accompanied by ability to engage, inspire and develop others
