We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Non Commission Revenue (NCR) team and help us deliver a seamless and personalized ordering experience for our users. As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing our internal tools and ad based promotion services affecting all efood users. You will produce a clean, maintainable, testable, dynamic and scalable code, and you will actively contribute to code reviews. In addition, you will manage the distribution and monitor the release, from development to post release.

What you 'll do:

• Work closely with SW Engineers, DevOps Engineers and Tech Leads as part of an agile team, to build reliable systems and exceed stakeholders expectations.
• Deliver high quality software responsible for serving hundreds of thousands of requests per minute.
• Investigate new technologies and strategies to help our services scale to larger data sets and quicker speeds into the future.
• Highly participate in team’s code reviews by giving valuable feedback and proposing optimisations (Github).
• Pair programming and mentoring other team members.
• Practice modern software development methodologies and agile processes.
• Experiment with new frameworks and technologies and learn continuously.

Key Requirements:

• At least 4+ years of working experience in back-end development.
• Solid programming experience preferably with Go programming language (or willing to learn).
• Any relevant experience with React.js will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Postgres).
• Familiarity with SOLID principles and software design patterns.
• Excellent eye for detail and a self-motivated problem solver.
• Superior analytical skills and a strong sense of urgency and ownership in your work.
• A doer, with a “get-things-done” attitude.
• Keen to constantly learn and improve your own skills, and not afraid to jump into new things.
• University and/or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills (English is a must).

Nice to have:

• Experience with ad-based services or bidding systems will be considered as a huge plus.
• Experience with TDD.
• Familiarity with at least one major cloud services provider (ideally AWS).
• Involvement with open source projects.
• Experience working in an Agile team.
