Position Summary

As a Senior Payments Analyst your main responsibilities will be to conduct market analysis, develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. Additionally, you will engage with business leaders and users to understand how data-driven changes to processes, products and services can improve efficiency and add value. The ideal candidate must have excellent investigative skills, problem-solving attitude and great business acumen.

You will be located in Athens and will be part of Etraveli Group Payments & Fraud Prevention Team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the company's payment acceptance performance.
• Drive important cross-functional projects across fintech and travel-tech areas that are related to KPI improvements and overall payment efficiency uplift.
• Assess the on-boarding of new payment products/options as well as of new providers.
• Be up-to-date with Schemes new regulations as well as Payment industry’s news/regulation.
• Propose and project manage corrective actions to increase expected benefits. Propose payment set-up data driven changes/improvements and develop new routines/processes.
• Run end to end projects that aim to increase the payment acceptance rate.
• Identify areas of risk, initiate ad-hoc analysis and build models to quantify and assess introduction of new solutions or innovative processes.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly KPI analysis and work closely with payment product/solutions team in order to propose corrective actions and maximize the company's impact.
• Resolve possible operational issues with regards to payments set up and payment service providers.

• Approximately 3-5 years working experience in a similar analyst position
• Experience/knowledge of the digital payments area will be considered a plus.
• Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business, Science, Technology or Engineering
• Experience in large data analysis under a top down/ bottom up approach
• Advanced experience with MS office (especially excel)/ Familiar with reporting solutions (e.g. Qlikview, Looker, Python etc.) will be highly appreciated.
• Strong numerical & organizational skills combined with business understanding
• Data driven/360 view thinking along with strong critical, analytical and investigation skills
• Ability to prioritiz, and effectively handle multiple projects under a minimum supervision and honor deadlines
• Self-motivated with ability to take ownership in a fast growing environment
• Ability to act proactively, take initiatives and pay attention to detail
• Very strong communication skills, can-do approach & excellent command of the English language
• High level of responsibility & integrity combined with eagerness to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes
