We are looking for our offices in Greece/Piraeus, a “Junior Compliance Legal Counsel” to be part of the Corporate Legal Department.
Summary of Position:
-Assist in providing a full service to MSC, MSC’s affiliates, worldwide agencies and their respective directors, managers and employees on compliance, to ensure that the company meets its regulatory requirements.
-Assist in legal monitoring within the area of competence and the coordination with external legal counsels where required, reporting related changes and potential legal issues to the Department’s Manager.
-Promote and control the implementation of the company’s policies within the area of competence, communicating, performing trainings and due diligence tasks.
-Insert and review compliance related certificates or clauses to preserve MSC’s contractual interests, with customers, suppliers or business partners.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill / Competency Requirements:
Type of required knowledge (depth, breadth):
-Legal background and experience in a law firm and/or legal department of a multinational company.
-Knowledge and interest in shipping and international trade.
-Fluent in English – Knowledge of a major language is an asset (French or Italian valued).
Type and length of experience required for the position:
-1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
