Job Role: As a Waiter/Waitress at Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort, you are an essential part of the guest journey. Your primary role is to provide exceptional service by taking orders, serving meals and beverages, and ensuring that guests enjoy an unforgettable dining experience tailored to their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Welcome: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and present menus with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Order Taking:Take guests' food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy and noting any dietary restrictions or special requests.
- Food and Beverage Service:Serve meals and beverages promptly and accurately, following established presentation and service standards.
- Menu Knowledge: Be well-informed about the restaurant’s menu, daily specials, and wine selection; provide recommendations when asked.
- Guest Service:Provide attentive and personalized service to guests, offering recommendations, answering questions, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.
- Table Maintenance:Maintain clean and well-organized dining tables, including setting and resetting tables and ensuring proper tableware and condiments are available.
- Order Accuracy:Verify the accuracy of orders before serving them to guests. Address any discrepancies or issues with orders promptly.
- Cash Handling:Process guest payments accurately, handle cash, credit cards, and mobile payments, and maintain a balanced check or cash drawer.
- Upselling:Suggest additional items or special promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- Teamwork:Collaborate with kitchen staff and other service team members to ensure efficient service and a seamless dining experience.
- Special Requests:Accommodate special guest requests, such as dietary preferences, allergies, or personalized dining experiences, with a focus on exceeding customer expectations.
- Safety and Cleanliness:Follow hygiene and sanitation standards, including personal hygiene and the cleanliness of dining areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional hospitality education or service training is a plus.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position; leadership in hospitality strongly required
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English languages. Third language will be considered accordingly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and act independently when needed.
- Availability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
