Laboratory Technician for the microbiological laboratory
Qualimetrix S.A. is a third-party Contract Laboratory Organization that provides analytical services to the pharmaceutical industry located in Athens, Greece.

Services range from routine to highly complex projects; with full support given to the regulatory requirements and research challenges; and operations consistently taking place in an environment of Good Laboratory (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).In the frame of its activities, Qualimetrix S.A. is recruiting a Laboratory Technician.
Responsibilities
- Prepares solutions and culture media necessary for the analyses based on the studies’ protocols and/or Analytical Procedures.
- Performs the growth promotion test of the culture media.
- Prepares solutions for the daily operations and housekeeping (e.g. cleaning solutions).
- Performs Physical, Microbial & Chemical Testing (e.g. appearance, pH, particulate matter, surface tension, viscosity, microbial enumeration test etc.) of medicinal products, API, packaging and raw materials.
- Provides assistance to the department’s officers in lab operations and testing.
- Documents all the aforementioned lab operations in appropriate lab notebooks and instrument logbooks promptly and accurately.
- Performs periodic calibration/qualification of equipment when necessary.
- Holds responsibility for the tidiness and cleanliness of the laboratory area including auxiliaries/ glassware sterilization and waste destruction.
- Notifies, in a timely manner, the department’s supervisor in case of instrument failure or any other malfunction.
- Informs the department’s supervisor in case of lack of resources for the proper operation of the laboratory.
- Contributes to the laboratory’s stock monitoring regarding analytical reagents, reference material and consumables.
Work experience requirements
One-year experience as a laboratory technician is preferred.
Education requirements
- Degree in Medical / Chemical Laboratories Assistance or related field from Technological Education Institute (T.E.I. or I.E.K.)
- Good knowledge of the English language (CEFR Level B2)
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
