Position Brief – What we are looking for
We are looking for a Social Media & Digital Content Expert to expand our brand’s digital footprint and grow awareness across a breadth of Media platforms. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of creating compelling content experiences on digital Media & social channels which build engagement & retention with diverse audiences. You will be responsible for developing digital and social Media strategies, creating content & distribution plans across Betshop’s network of owned & operated social Media platforms, as well as having full responsibility for inbound marketing and lead generation campaigns for both our corporate Blog and website. The role reports to the CMO and works cross-functionally with Marketing & Communications, Advertising, Production, Growth/Performance, and Customer Experience, to deliver against Betshop’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate is a motivated and highly creative marketing professional, who is able to work and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, preferably has strong copywriting skills and very good knowledge of online marketing practices and who also feels comfortable with the creation of content that attracts and retains customers.
Responsibilities – What we want you to do
Develop the digital strategy and the social Media & content marketing roadmap for Betshop.gr, Betshop sponsorships and CSR actions.
Handle the brand’s social network pages & owned digital Media entities: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube & LinkedIn, and corporate Blog.
Liaise with Marketing and our in-house creative team to develop, implement & optimize content for all digital platforms; prepare editorial calendars, review & publish blog posts, compile articles, infographics, newsletters, day-to-day social posts, videos etc.
Manage & grow Betshop’s online communities on digital channels: social copywriting, responding to comments, engaging with our fans, interacting with brands/athletes & delivering compelling digital experiences that deepen audience engagement.
Pitch concepts & handle joint partnerships with content creators such as bloggers, influencers & YouTubers.
Further develop & enhance e-mail marketing activities. Work in tandem with Growth & Performance team members to improve brand discoverability, optimize social ad campaigns and increase audience reach across all digital channels.
Monitor and analyze the digital landscape, study market trends, compile reports on competition and brand presence to recommend ideas that increase digital content effectiveness.
Key Skills - What Skills and Experience You Will Need
BSc in Marketing, Media & Communications or in related fields
Previous working experience in a Digital Marketing/Social Media role with hands-on experience in creating, curating, and managing content.
Strong understanding of online marketing channels & terminology (onsite, Affiliates, PPC, Digital Display, SEO, emails).
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and e-mail marketing platforms (e.g. Mailchimp, Moosend)
Strong copywriting skills & comfortable with the creation of diverse digital content on Social Media, Blog & Web, in both Greek and English.
Solid knowledge of social media platforms & respective performance metrics & analytics (Google Analytics, Facebook Business, Ads Manager, Facebook Insights, YouTube, UTM tagging, pixels, tokens, conversion rates etc.)
Confident with the practical usage of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management/collaboration tools (e.g. Trello, Microsoft Teams, Yammer, Google Drive).
Internet savvy and always up to date with the latest technology trends and solutions in social media.Excellent communication skills in Greek and English (verbal and written).
Positive team-oriented personality with the desire, ability, and drive to ride a continuous learning curve in the iGaming/Internet industry.
Creative and well-organized personality with a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a tight workflow to meet deadlines.
