We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team for our offices in Athens!
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with Greek labor laws and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in payroll systems, a strong understanding of employment legislation, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Compliance
- Assist in running end-to-end payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Greek labor laws.
- Process salary payments, tax deductions, social security contributions, and benefits.
- Ensure all ERGANI submissions are accurate and timely.
- Update employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and salary changes in payroll system.
Payroll Reconciliation & Reporting
- Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure consistency with accounting records.
- Generate payroll reports and assist in the preparation of reports for management.
- Maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
HR & Employee Support
- Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, including salary breakdowns, deductions, and benefits.
- Help draft employee communications regarding payroll updates and changes.
- Stay updated on labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll software enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-site environment.
- Strong understanding of Greek labor legislation and payroll regulations.
- Experience with payroll software (Pylon Epsilon Net preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Fluency in Greek and English, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
