The Contracts / Projects Implementation Engineer supports every aspect of the project’s life cycle, held by the Energy Efficiency Services department, from reviewing and approving contracts to coordinating each customer energy efficiency project implementation, conduct effective vendor management and meeting the agreed deadlines. Accompanies and supports customers during their full lifetime with Elpedison.

Reports to Energy Efficiency Services Implementation Section Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes the implementation of energy efficiency projects on the customer-sites as applicable.
  • Monitors and manages the implementation of the works, on-site, with close monitoring and management of the Vendors that have been assigned the specific tasks.
  • Is responsible for the close monitoring of the efficacy and quality of the tasks pertaining to the Operation & Maintenance of the Services, Installed Equipment, etc. that have been assigned to 3rd party/Vendors and for the timely reporting of the inconsistencies observed.
  • Supports the Energy Efficiency Services Implementation Section Manager in the creation, preparation, review and edit of all customer/project contracts.
  • Maintains excellent working relationship with customers to ensure that their needs are met along with the guaranteed returns, as applicable.
  • Monitors contracts to ensure that all customer liabilities towards Elpedison are well satisfied and evaluates vendors performance along the project lifecycle, ensuring that all Service Level Agreements are well met.
  • Undertakes the revision of specific contract terms and conditions as deemed necessary according to the evolving market conditions and quantifies risk exposure per customer/energy service project contract in close collaboration with the Legal and Financial departments.
  • Monitors project financials and updates or/and advises the Energy Efficiency Services Implementation Section Manager accordingly and maintains all supporting project financial analysis for audit and reviews processes as well as all contract agreements versioning.
  • Supports the Energy Efficiency Services Implementation Section Manager by monitoring the budget, cash flow and reporting on expense obligations to ensure that deliverables are met. Alerts the Energy Efficiency Services Implementation Section Manager for any financial shortfalls and over-expenditures.
  • Assists the Energy Efficiency Services Implementation Section Manager in monitoring the pre-agreed KPIs per each specific customer case or/and energy service project and pursues monthly assurance tasks.
  • Coordinates direct payments, processes advance requests and prepares project budget revisions and financial reports. Tracks expenditures and takes relevant actions when required to revise budget (realignment and amendment).
  • Monitors Energy Efficiency or/and Energy Conservation KPIs and reports them in pre-agreed templates and formats.
  • On a regular basis coordinates vendor communications, time schedules, meetings and reports as necessary and follows the execution of services by the vendors and effectively manage their planning and quality of their works.
  • Identifies operational, administrative, financial and other bottlenecks that may impede the timely delivery of a project. Recommends solutions and takes appropriate remedial actions. Sets adequate controls.
  • Provides tactical or ad-hoc reporting according to the customer requests and guidelines of Energy Efficiency Services Department.
  • Analyses and proposes improvements of the Section procedures to the Energy Efficiency Services Implementation Section Manager.
  • Proposes new Energy Services or/and technologies that may identify in the domestic market or through research in foreign Energy Services markets.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. MSc in Energy or MBA will be considered an asset
  • At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in a similar position
  • Advanced knowledge of the English language (oral & written)
  • Excellent command of MS Office applications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills
  • People management skills
