Automation and Control Systems Engineer -  Application Code: ACSE-2211

Hellenic Tankers Co Ltd is looking for Automation and Control Systems Engineers to join our rapidly expanding Vessel Performance and Energy Transition team. Successful candidates will be working on the development of remote monitoring and control systems for maritime projects.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Specify and design solutions for PLC systems
• Support the analysis and justification of electrical based designs and component selection in accordance with marine standards
• Create, and sign off technical documentation associated with electrical engineering to agreed specifications
• Physical build (electrical and mechanical assembly) of new and existing automation test beds and control panels
• Participate in vessel integration activities
• Troubleshooting system errors.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical engineering or a related field

• Drawing electric diagrams, using CAD software, and successfully apply to projects
• Understanding of control system principles and SCADA systems
• Ability to Develop new PLC and HMI codes from a range of manufacturers.

• Excellent command of English language

• Self-motivated and willing to exercise initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, being part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting members in office and engineers working onboard vessels.

Desirable

• Proven experience with Siemens/Omron PLC systems
• PLC technical certification
• 1-3years on maritime sector related position
