PHP Backend Developer

As our new team member, your role would be to develop and maintain back-end web applications, primarily using PHP programming language

More specifically, you will undertake tasks, such as:

• Building efficient, testable, and reusable PHP code
• Resolving performance issues and design architectural challenges
• Integrating with 3rd party services
• Creating documentation for your own code (software design specifications)

To be a successful candidate, your professional profile should match the following criteria:

• You have a University/ College Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field (Mathematics, Physics)
• Proven working experience of three (3) years or more in software development
• Experience in object-oriented PHP (especially PHP7+)
• Good understanding of version control systems, such as Git, and package management tools, such as Composer, NPM etc.
• Good knowledge of unit/Integration testing (PHPUnit, Codeception)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in English and Greek languages
• You have completed all military obligations (for male candidates)

Knowledge or experience in the below technologies will strengthen your candidacy:

• Experience with NoSQL databases (Redis) and REST APIs
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Familiarity with Symfony, MySQL, Redis will be considered as an asset
• Experience with containerized applications using Docker/Kubernetes
• Being comfortable with concurrency and parallelism ideally using Golang
