The role

The IT Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the company’s systems and network database so as to avoid data breaches and prevent possible attacks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop and maintain information security governance, including organizational policies, procedures, standards, as well as baselines and guidelines with respect to information security and use and operation of information systems
• Define security requirements and review the infrastructure on a regular basis, so as to determine if it complies with the established security standards
• Develop system security controls, procedures and countermeasures, in alignment with security standards and oversee their flawless implementation 
• Monitor incidents occurred and vulnerabilities of the systems in use and create relevant solutions, according to the findings so as to prevent further attacks
• Analyze key trends concerning cyber security and organizational risk, develop and execute plans for risk mitigation based on compliance assessments
• Provide subject matter expertise to policies and procedures related to cyber security so as to facilitate security compliance
• Provide support across the organization, regarding cyber security issues, including threat modeling, security architecture assessments, cloud security vulnerability assessments and infrastructure security management
• Develop and deliver training programs around corporate security, in order to raise awareness to all employees

Requirements

• 5+ years of working experience in a relevant industry and in the information security field.
• Experience in administering Fortinet security infrastructure. 
• Additional proven working experience in cloud environment (Azure, AWS, etc.).  
• Knowledge of security frameworks (ISMS,COBIT, Cstar, BSI, C5)
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 
• BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
• Fluency in English
