Responsibilities:
Manage the entire source-to-deliver purchasing process within the ERP system.
Initiate and oversee approval workflows involving various departments and
managers.
Efficiently handle multiple purchasing routines simultaneously.
Communicate promptly and effectively with suppliers and other involved parties.
Understand and manage forwarding procedures.
Handle purchasing for spares, stores, and forwarding as per departmental
requirements and instructions.
Maintain meticulous attention to detail.
Communicate with vessel crew and suppliers to clarify requirements.
Work effectively under tight deadlines given by vessels' trading schedules.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth information flow in both
directions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping purchasing department.
Higher education in shipping-related topics.
Excellent command of English.
Proven familiarity with shipping-related ERPs such as Benefit, Danaos, etc.
Excellent command of email communication systems.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
