On behalf of a client, we are looking for a Senior Accountant.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax legislation (VAT, payroll taxes, withholding taxes, etc.)
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings
- Support the preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns
- Assist during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and statutory auditors
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes (tax provisions, deferred tax calculations)
- Participate in tax process improvements and internal control initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting with a strong focus on taxation
- Solid knowledge of Greek tax and accounting legislation
- Experience in a corporate environment and/or audit/tax advisory firm
- Very good command of English (written and spoken)
- Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadline
