We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Accountant Professional  to join our Finance Department at our offices located in Elefsina.

As a Tax Accountant Professional, you will be responsible for managing tax compliance, ensuring adherence to local regulations, and supporting the organization in all tax-related matters. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with analytical thinking and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax filings (VAT, income tax, withholding taxes, etc.).
• Monitor tax legislation changes and ensure company compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Support the preparation of corporate income tax returns and tax provisions.
• Reconcile tax accounts and ensure proper documentation and audit trail.
• Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and public authorities when required.
• Support tax audits and provide necessary documentation and analysis.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to tax reporting.
• Identify potential tax risks and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function.

• Strong knowledge of local tax legislation and reporting requirements.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns and tax reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills required).
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of professional experience in tax accounting, preferably within a corporate environment or audit firm.
