Eurolife FFH Insurance Group is seeking to recruit a Financial Reporting Analyst. 

Main Responsibilities:

As Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Participate in the Financial Reporting process at Entity and Group level in accordance with the IFRS standards (including the new accounting standards IFRS 17 “Insurance contracts” and IFRS 9 “Financial Instruments”). The process includes the submission of quarterly financial reporting information to the shareholders and monthly financial reporting information for internal use.
  • Produce error-free monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and statistical information for submission to Department of Private Insurance Supervision (DOPIS), the Bank of Greece (BoG) and other institutional bodies.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process and calculate the current and deferred income tax provisions.
  • Develop and document effective internal controls and procedures in the accounting process taking into account the new accounting standards releases and in compliance with the SOX framework.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and ensure GAAP’s are being adhered to appropriately.

Candidate Profile:

  • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience ideally within an audit firm or an insurance company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Administration or similar. Master’s degree is desirable but not mandatory.
  • ACCA or IESOEL certification and previous working experience in the Insurance sector will be considered an asset.
  • Very good Knowledge of IFRS and Accounting.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, specially Excel and Word
  • Strong communication skills both in Greek and English.
  • Results oriented and able to deliver under pressure to short deadlines, while coping with changing priorities.
  • Team Player and ability to work independently.
