Accounts Payable Manager (Ref: TH/APM023)

Job Information

Office Location: Thessaloniki | Greece

Department: Finance    

Contract: Full-time / Permanent

 

Your main responsibility

  • Plan and control payments process to ensure timely aging and accurate payment execution, reconciliation, and recording that will support maintaining an optimum payables level without increasing unit costs or lead times
  • Review that procedures and controls are met communicating to the respective budget owners or external vendors where appropriate to ensure the integrity and compliance of the Group's PTP process. Handle negotiations with vendors where appropriate to optimize working capital (AP).
  • Develop, review, and improve the policies, procedures, and guidelines of the payments operations, to ensure an efficient workflow in compliance with Group policies and standards.
  • Identify potential areas for improvement, proposing and following up the implementation of corrective actions for the improvement of AP operations’ efficiency.
  • Lead AP team and AP operations and compliance

 

Your main qualifications/skills

  • Degree in Business Administration or Economics or Accounting and Finance
  • 5-10 years in a senior managerial position with the project lead. Experience in a multinational environment is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting under IFRS.
  • Professional Certifications (ex. ACCA, CIMA) would be a plus.
  • Fluency in English
