Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Data Engineer to work as an expert at the premises of the company in Athens and/or remotely.

Main responsibilities and Tasks:

• Participate in the design and implementation of databases, ETLs, BI reports, along with web development teams;
• Migration of database/ETL changes across environments;
• Develop/maintain data models;
• Monitor server performance of application databases;
• Maintain access rights;
• Write technical documentation;
• Install and configure the respective tools.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
• Strong knowledge of database theory and experience in data modelling;
• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and "NoSQL" databases (time series databases, Cassandra, MongoDB);
• Experience with some of the database migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase);
• Competence in Python or Java, PL/SQL or T-SQL;
• Experience with Linux, Solaris, Windows operating systems;
• Excellent command of English;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and to deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
