IFRS Specialist (Ref: TH/IFS023)

Contract: Full time / Permanent
Your main responsibility
- Coordinate, prepare, or review the quarterly filings and annual accounts under local GAAPs and IFRS and monitor its filling in accordance with deadlines with all our stakeholders
- Assist & prepare the annual Financial Statements with Notes in both English and Greek language
- Assist in the Consolidation process of the group
- Support end-to-end monthly financial close process
- Review/post of manual journal entries (tax and IFRS) and GL reconciliation
- Prepare, post & reconcile the period end accruals and leases
- Perform balance sheet and P&L reconciliations between tax, IFRS and management accounts
- Assist with the Intercompany procedures and prepare postings/ reconciliations
- Review FAR and reconcile between tax-IFRS
- Assist in the coordination of the annual audit process
- Implement and review the accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Support strategic projects across finance
Your main qualifications/skills
- Degree in Business Administration or Economics or Accounting and Finance
- Proven experience of 3-4 years in Big Four (audit) or industry experience
- Understanding of Greek tax regime (VAT issues, Income tax and withholding taxes)
- Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting under IFRS
- Fluency in English
- A professional qualification (ACCA or IESOEL) would be a plus
- Knowledge of Entersoft or other ERP would be a plus
