Power Plant Maintenance Manager-Thrace (Ref. 6354/PPMM/ESS/GR)
Profile
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible to plan/schedule all maintenance activities and implement corrective and preventive maintenance plans of the installed equipment, that allow a smooth, reliable, efficient, safe, economical, and environmentally consistent manner of operation of the Power Plant. The Executive will report to the Power Plant Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assures that the maintenance procedures and instructions are followed properly
- Solves engineering problems (Troubleshooting) within a specific time frame
- Plans outages, spare parts, materials, tools required for the execution of maintenance works
- Supports plant management by providing data and recommendations to optimize technical systems, improve technical efficiency, reduce maintenance costs and improve the effectiveness
- Prepares and submits maintenance reports to management to inform them of the current status and plans
- Is responsible for negotiating external contracts on supplies and services to manage the maintenance budget
- Creates and follows Key Performance Indicators regarding the performance of the maintenance team and the equipment
- Organizes the technical documentation and the reports/witness documents of performed maintenance activities
- Follows up on legal issues regarding equipment certification (along with H&S Manager)
- Acts in respect to H&S rules and to environmental protection
- Develops and coordinates the activities of the team and external contractors
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as maintenance manager, in CCGT Thermal Power Plants with prior technical/ supervisory experience
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in CCGT power plants maintenance or construction
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Master’s degree in business administration or other disciplines will be a plus
- Strong communication skills both in Greek and English
- Proficiency use of MS Office tools
- In-depth experience and knowledge/technical expertise in power plant operations and maintenance with an understanding of the key drivers for safe, reliable, cost-effective and compliant operation
- Experience in project management with excellent leadership skills
- Business Acumen/Industry knowledge (regulated/non-regulated environment), including a broad understanding of the Greek Energy Market
- Ability to manage multiple priorities-effective prioritization of competing issues, recognizing relevant constraints and opportunities
- Effective communication to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
- People management skills, including the ability to effectively coach others and hold employees accountable
- Openness and willingness to explore alternative approaches and willingness to drive change when needed
- Ability to lead the organization through change management initiatives
