Our six Hotels in Greece are located in Corfu, Kos and Rhodes islands and our Head Offices are in Athens. We are currently hiring for the upcoming season for our Head Office in Athens

Financial Analyst

Role Overview

The position of the Financial Analyst is responsible for tracking the company's financial performance against the relative plans, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports. The position analyzes historical financial data to guide the company in optimizing its investment to maximize profit. To that end, the position holder may need to work with different types of data such as company financial statements, performance of investments, industry research, stock price movement, macroeconomic data and more.

About the  Role

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
  • Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps
  • Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
  • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
  • Participate in inventory analysis and control

  • Strong financial modeling experience

About you

  • Degree or Diploma in Finance, Economics or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of overall relevant experience
  • Very Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Proficient knowledge of the English language
  • Good knowledge of SAP
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence software

Desirable Qualifications 

  • Postgraduate degree
  • Knowledge of Materials management software (MMS), and inventory control
  • Knowledge of SiHOT
  • Previous experience in the hotel/hospitality industry

Position Physical Requirements:

Special working conditions

  • On site
  • Travel time: 10% annually

Span of control

  • The position reports to the CFO  
  • The position cooperates with managers of all Hotels
  • The position cooperates with all departments

Scope of employment

  • Full time
  • Open ended contract
