We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our Catalog Services team and help us deliver a seamless and personalized ordering experience for our users, powering the vendor catalog browsing experience of millions of customers. More than 7 Million orders happen via our platform every month - and that’s still just the start! In a year from now, we want to help 5 Million people to order their food or other goods.

What you will do:

• Work closely with other Software Engineers, DevOps engineers and Tech leads as part of an agile team, to build reliable and scalable systems and exceed stakeholders expectations.
• Deliver high quality software responsible for serving hundreds of thousands of requests per minute.
• Investigate new technologies and strategies to help our services scale to larger data sets and quicker speeds into the future.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Practice modern software development methodologies and agile processes.
• Experiment with new frameworks and technologies and learn continuously.

What you need to have:

• At least 2 - 4 years of working experience in microservices development.
• Excellent knowledge of the Go programming language, any relevant experience on python will be considered a plus.
• Knowledge of relational, non-relational database systems as well as key value stores (e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Postgres).
• Experience consuming and developing REST APIs.
• University and/or Postgraduate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent eye for detail and a self-motivated problem solver.
• Superior analytical skills and a strong sense of urgency and ownership in your work.
• Ability to get up to speed with new systems and concepts quickly.
• Keen to constantly learn and improve your own skills, and not afraid to jump into new things.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills (English is a must).

Awesome if you have:

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud services provider (preferably AWS or GCP).
• Experience working in an Agile team.
• Involvement with open source projects is a plus.
