PeopleCert is looking for a Technology Product Manager that will be responsible for the wealth of experiences – across web and mobile applications – that help our candidates and partners enjoy smooth and valuable learning and certification journeys.

You will have full ownership of all stages of the Product Development Life Cycle for a specific Product Line, so you should expect a highly cross-functional role spanning the business and technical continuum.

As a Technology Product Manager, your tasks will include the following:

• Build a deep understanding of customers’ needs and behavior by monitoring industry and market trends, conducting user and market research, and tracking KPIs and analytics across the customer journey
• Work with other Technology Product Managers responsible for other Product Lines to materialise ideas into product concepts, ensuring a consistent user experience along PeopleCert’s design principles, and providing the outmost clarity to our Software Development teams
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to design the practical approach to our strategy, ensuring accurate and powerful depiction of our technology products value proposition
• Represent PeopleCert in commercial discussions and feedback loops with partners, end users, regulators, and other interest groups
• Be actively involved in the design of Business models that make PeopleCert portfolio of Applications and Services competitive in the marketplace
• Ensure there is a balance between Innovation and Tactical elements in the Technology Product Roadmap. You will turn Tactical to Innovation by owning the bigger picture and connecting the dots
• Be involved in Build vs Buy decisions to advance our technology value proposition in the fastest way possible
  
  

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree and C2 level in English language (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
• 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or a Solutions Engineer, being able to demonstrate your impact to customers
• Solid technical knowledge gained either through an Engineering degree, or through deep hands-on experience with Technology teams and products
• Working experience in any of the following: Consumer Applications, SaaS/Mobile applications, eCommerce, or eLearning platforms
• Complete understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle for a digital offering and all its stages
• Collaborative leadership: You earn the trust of others and facilitate cooperation between people with different skills through your collaborative style and communication skills
• Innately analytical: You start by asking “why”. You are an excellent listener and when you’re presented with data, problems, or requests, you focus on posing the right questions rather than jumping to conclusions
• Design oriented: You are eager to work with users and be their voice inside the business. You are passionate about the user experience and impactful design, pushing the culture in the right place
• Focused on execution: You have a natural instinct to drive things to completion, shipping the right product, with the right timing, making the right tradeoffs
• Curious & driven: You should appreciate challenges and have the ability and curiosity to adapt to a constantly changing environment

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

• If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
