Our Cyber Incident Responders are called to answer client needs regarding proactive incident response, reactive incident response, post-breach assessments and managed threat hunting, as well as implementing response automation technologies.
Your role as a Senior Consultant (Cyber Risk Incident Responder) will focus on the delivery of client engagements, by understanding objectives for clients and Deloitte, aligning your own work to objectives and setting personal priorities, teaming with others across businesses and borders and taking accountability for own and team results. You will commit to personal learning and development by actively seeking opportunities for growth, you will share knowledge and experience with others, and act as a strong brand ambassador, embracing our purpose and values in order to put these into practice in your professional life.
During your tenure as a Senior Consultant you will demonstrate and develop your ability to:
Be part of the Deloitte Cyber Incident Response and Threat Intelligence communities, constructing and using open source and commercial threat intelligence to supply the client with actionable intelligence and to detect, respond to and defeat APTs
Maintain and employ a strong understanding of advanced threats, continuous vulnerability assessment, response and mitigation strategies used in Cybersecurity operations
Help clients respond to cyber incidents and get back to business
Advise the client in both technical as well as tactical decisions in dealing with incidents, ranging from crypto-malware infections to advanced persistent threats (APTs)
Fully analyze network activity and system activity, including application, operating system data, memory, directory services logs or intrusion detection system logs to detect successful and unsuccessful intrusions by advanced attackers
Characterize, analyze and reverse engineer various file types, including providing dynamic and static analysis of malware artefacts and binaries, to be able to identify IOCs
Conduct advanced threat hunt operations using known adversary tactics, techniques and procedures as well as indicators of attack in order to detect adversaries with persistent access to the enterprise
Produce a high quality work product and collaborate with others to deliver a superior client experience
Develop impactful reports and presentations that support the achievement of engagement goals and objectives
To qualify for the role you should have:
University degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and a postgraduate qualification in Information Security.
Minimum 2-3 years’ of working experience in the area of Cyber Security, ideally in Offensive Security, Incident Response and/ or digital forensics.
Relevant professional certifications, such as: GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, GCIA, GREM, CISSP
Prior experience in network analysis with an emphasis on detecting malicious activity using network traffic analysis techniques
Prior experience in forensic and memory analysis with an emphasis on detecting malicious activity using host based artefacts
Experience working with security intelligence, data analytics, security incident response, and forensic investigation teams
Knowledge of current hacking techniques, vulnerability disclosures, data breach incidents, and security analysis techniques.
Demonstrated experience with Windows and/or Unix/Linux operating systems including command-line tasks and scripting
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Commitment to teamwork and ability to demonstrate strong client relationships.
Ability to maintain professionalism and strive for high ethical standards at all times
