We wish to appoint an Assistant Payroll, in our Accounting and Outsourcing team, in Athens.

For the right candidate, the position offers excellent advancement opportunities.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day administration of medium to large sized multiple client payrolls with no supervision.
  • Provide payroll reports requested by clients’ HR and Accounting departments.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of clients’ obligations and payroll workflow.
  • Identify, research and resolve payroll variances during daily audit and analysis.
  • Provide payroll reports requested by clients’ HR and Accounting departments.
  • Respond to payroll-related and local labor legislation inquiries from clients
  • Create and modify reports based on client needs.
  • Identify, research, investigate and resolve payroll variances during daily audit and analysis.
  • Looking for improvements related to efficiency and payroll best practices and provide feedback.
  • Independent performance according to Payroll Manager’s instructions.
  • Assist and provide guidance to payroll team members regarding payroll and labor legislation issues as well as complex payroll calculations related to retroactive payments, terminations, etc.
  • Visit local authorities’ offices for any queries when it is necessary.
  • Monitor and approve payroll reports.
  • Identification of business opportunities at existing clients.
  • Active engagement on the development of new or existing products and services.


Principal Requirements

  • BSc in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration (MSc will be considered an asset)
  • 1-3 years of experience in a payroll position
  • Excellent knowledge of current labor legislation.
  • Excellent understanding of multi-payroll cases.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Well organized, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (Greek/English).
  • Experience supervisein working with teams and supervising employees
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong analytical skills.
