ΑFEA Congress is seeking for a junior IT Support Specialist

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Junior IT Support Specialist to join our Information Technology team.

This role is ideal for a technically savvy individual who is passionate about providing support for on-premises systems, including laptops, printers, and firewalls, as well as cloud-based solutions like Microsoft 365 (M365), Azure Infrastructure, and Entra Identity and Access Management (ID).

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability, and supporting our staff with their IT needs.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for all IT-related issues within the organization, including hardware (laptops and printers), software, and network problems.
  • Assist with the administration of on-premises systems and infrastructure, including firewalls and other network security devices.
  • Support the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cloud services, including M365, Azure, and Entra ID, ensuring secure and efficient operation.
  • Help manage user accounts and permissions within M365 and Azure environments, aligning with organizational policies and security requirements.
  • Assist with the configuration and support of email, calendaring, and collaboration tools within the M365 suite.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure system integrity and security.
  • Stay updated on the latest IT trends and security threats to proactively address potential issues.
  • Assist in IT projects as needed, including system upgrades and migrations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role, with a strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Familiarity with on-premises systems, including laptops, printers, and firewalls.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID, including user account management and basic administration tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft : AZ-900, MS-900) are a plus.
