PeopleCert is currently looking for a Senior Sitecore Developer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing complex web applications using the Sitecore platform to provide outstanding user experiences and meet our business requirements.
As a Senior Sitecore Developer, your tasks will include the following:
- Design, develop, and deploy Sitecore-based web applications that align with our business goals.
- Collaborate with project managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to plan, design, and develop robust solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing Sitecore applications to improve functionality and user engagement.
- Implement Sitecore update packages, patches, and fixes as part of the configuration management process.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers in Sitecore development practices.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Sitecore applications for maximum speed and scalability.
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certified Sitecore developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Sitecore development.
- Proven experience with Sitecore’s xDB and Experience Platform is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server.
- Experience in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent command of English is required (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
- Excellent computer skills, digital skills and project management skills. ECDL certification will be considered assets.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Azure services or other cloud environments.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps tools and practices.
- Understanding of web security practices.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
- A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
- Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
- HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Financial background check
- Employment reference check.
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
