Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Software Engineer. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for shaping the system architecture, playing a key role in the implementation and leading a team of talented engineers to success. This role has immense growth potential and the ability to play a key role in the company’s growth. It is for someone who is adept at developing efficient and scalable software solutions and is enthusiastic about working towards a big mission and solving challenging problems with a team of super-smart and driven people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture
- Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align the engineering vision with business objectives and customer needs.
- Play a leading role in developing and maintaining our platform.
- Ensure code quality, stability, and scalability through code reviews, testing, and performance tuning.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
- Identify and integrate new technologies and frameworks that align with our technical strategy.
- Help reinforce a culture of innovation, teamwork, and accountability within the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Engineer
- At least 3 years of experience in backend development and ideally server-side logic using Node.js to ensure high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests
- Experience with front-end technologies and user-facing elements, ideally using React.js to create dynamic and responsive web applications and Redux to implement state management solutions
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and managing efficient data retrieval and manipulation
- Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies is a plus.
- Experience with AI/ML models is a plus
