We are looking for a Cisco Voice Engineer that will work under the following conditions:

 

  • A 5 Working Day Schedule, US holidays apply

The ideal candidate should have excellent British or American English accent and the following background:

  • Responds to and logs all inquiries received from clients via telephone, email, or client portal

  • Liaison with client to ensure that requests or problem reports have been satisfactorily handled

  • Identifies and analyzes systems requirements and defines project scope, requirements, and deliverables

  • Keeps well documented and updated case notes on all tickets daily

  • Provides daily communication to clients on outstanding ticket status

  • Provides first, second and third level customer support including troubleshooting issues with computer hardware, network/internet connectivity, email, and software applications

  • The ability to participate effectively in multiple support efforts and provide technical expertise

  • The ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Creates and maintains client-related documentation

  • Actively participates as a strategic member of the technology team, including participating in team meetings and providing technical support for our managed service clients

 

 We are hiring for the late shift (Athens Local Time) 

                Shift 2 -  15:00 – 0:00 with a 1-hour break 

1.       Our holiday schedule is not what you are used to.  Our helpdesk is a 24x7 helpdesk however we do have a few holidays here that we are just on call.  Some of our holidays in the US do not line up with the ones in Greece but some of the Greek ones do not line up with the ones in the US.

2.       On Call – currently our desk has support 7AM EST to 8PM EST and we are moving to 24x5 and on call weekends.  Meaning that each member of the team will be on call for a weekend ever 4-6 weeks but you will be compensated additionally for this.

3.       Team work – it is imperative that we have and good understanding of teamwork and team spirit.  We all work together.

  • 6+ years of experience in a role that involved in designing, installing, supporting, and designing network Voice infrastructures utilizing Cisco Call Manager CUCM, CUPS, UNITY CONNECTION, Call Manager Express, Voice Gateways, BE5K, BE6K, UC5xx infrastructures for mission-critical client services environments
  • Hands on experience installing, upgrading and maintaining Cisco Unified Communications products
  • Detailed knowledge of Cisco IOS based systems
  • Experience with variants of the following Cisco Products a plus: Catalyst 3750/3850s, ISR G3 4300/4400s, G2 2900/3900s, and ASA 5500s
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with major routing protocols; specifically, BGP (Border Gate Protocols) & OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) 
  • Experience with network configuration management concepts & tools –Wireshark, Solarwinds, etc.
  • Candidates should also have past experience with, and expertise in many of the following protocols & technologies: QoS, STP, IPv4, IPv6, TCP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP/GLBP/VRRP, PIM, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, VPNS (IPSec & SSL), netflow / jflow, MPLS, ACLs, and security policies.
  • Experience troubleshooting layer *1 - 4 network problems with internal and external clients
  • Experience *network troubleshooting techniques such as analysis of packet captures, tracing, performance tuning, analysis of firewall session details, and monitoring
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively on customer issues within tight time constraints
  • Exceptional organizational, time management skills and ability to multitask


  • Minimum CCNA (CCNA Voice Preferred) is required

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field and at least 5 years of experience working for a Managed Service Provider organization or related field

  • 3+ years of direct, on-the-job experience with Cisco technologies

  • ConnectWise ticketing system experience highly desirable

  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette skills

  • Must be able to communicate details of the problem and the initial troubleshooting steps effectively to the next level of support

  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with all departments and personnel

  • Good organization skills to be able to carry out assignments with minimal supervision

  • Ability to work on multiple, concurrent tasks and adapt to shifting priorities

  • Detail oriented and strong problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with entire staff

  • Ability to adjust work schedule to meet deadlines and work independently

  • Strong follow-up skills to ensure that problems are handled in a timely manner

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Accountability, adaptability, assertiveness, dependability, initiative, and responsiveness are essential

  • Desire and demonstrated ability to continuously learn new technologies, client business issues, other job functions, etc.
