We currently look for Sous-Chefs to join our Hotels teams for season 2018.

Location: Chalkidiki, Greece

Job Description:
The Sous-Chef will be responsible for assisting in leading kitchen staff while working in all areas of the kitchen, including food production, purchasing and kitchen sanitation. 

  • Organize, set up and supervise kitchen operations in cooperation with the Executive Chef
  • Help in the preparation and design of all culinary items according to company’s standards; modify and develop recipes in agreement with the Executive Chef
  • Purchase appropriate supplies, manage food and supply inventories according to budget in agreement with the Executive Chef and Storage department; monitor food and operating costs
  • Check quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met
  • Observe HACCP hygiene and safety rules; supervise the hygiene and maintenance of all food preparation areas, equipment and storerooms 
  • Work with Restaurant and Banquet departments to coordinate service and timing of events and meals
  • Lead shifts and replace the Executive Chef when is needed
  • Solve any issues, complaints and problems that arise in the kitchen
  • Oversee all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms; report malfunctions in department equipment
  • Participate in the employee performance appraisal process, giving feedback as needed
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
  • Conduct training when appropriate; assist in the recruiting process

Skills / Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of prior experience as a Sous-Chef Chef within fine dining restaurants
  • Cook degree from an accredited Institute/University and passion for food industry which will be proved from continuous learning; a Master’s degree will be considered as an extra asset
  • Experience in French and/or Asian cuisine would be appreciated
  • Good knowledge of English language both in writing and orally
  • Excellent time management, organizational and presentational skills
  • Customer-centric attitude, ability to adapt into Infinite Lifestyle concept
  • Team player with excellent ability to work under pressure
